Hanif bin Hussien

Datuk Dr Hanif is the Head of Department and a Consultant General and Vascular Surgeon in Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He is a graduate of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with a Medical Degree in 1991 and Masters in General Surgery in 1999. He later completed the Vascular Surgery Subspecialty training in Ministry of Health (MOH) in 2003.

He is the current Deputy Head of General Surgery Specialty since July 2023. He is also a member of the Specialty Education Subcommittee under the Medical Education Committee of the Malaysian Medical Council. In the past he has held the posts of Head of Vascular surgery subspecialty and the overall Coordinator for Masters Program in MOH and also the Treasurer for the Vascular Society of Malaysia.

He has been involved in the Masters of General Surgery Program as a trainer and examiner for the final postgraduate examination for many years and a member of the Surgical Specialty Conjoint Committee. He is also a supervisor and training committee member for the MOH Vascular Surgery Subspecialty Fellowship program.
