Shazharn bin Muhammad Zain

Dr Shazharn is a consultant anaesthesiologist and the current Head of Department at the Department of Anaesthesiology & Critical Care, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and the Head of Anaesthesia Specialty for the state of Sabah.

He graduated with a Bachelor in Medicine & Surgery from the University of Otago in New Zealand in 1999 and obtained his Master in Medicine (Anaesthesiology) from the National University of Malaysia in 2009.

He is a committee member of the National Committee on Resuscitation Training, Ministry of Health Malaysia and is actively involved in resuscitation training in Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support as well as community CPR training. He has a special interest in difficult airway management, resuscitation training and simulation training.
